Zeekr, Geely Auto’s premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary, continues to warming up for its first sedan model, the Zeekr 007, ahead of next week’s pre-sale launch.
Zeekr today shared three Zeekr 007 exterior images showing the body design of the electric sedan.
The Zeekr 007 is based on Geely’s SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) and was designed by the world’s top designer Stefan Sielaff’s team, Zeekr said.
The car is a luxury B-segment sedan with a height of 1,450 mm and a wheelbase of 2,928 mm, the company said.
The Zeekr 007’s lights feature Zeekr Stargate one-piece smart light curtains, and both the headlights and taillights can be customized and set by the user, according to the company.
Zeekr will hold a pre-sale launch event for the Zeekr 007 on November 17, the first day of the Guangzhou auto show, starting at 10:00 am, the company said.
Founded in 2021, Zeekr’s current models on sale include the Zeekr 001 shooting brake, the Zeekr 009 MPV (Multi-Purpose Vehicle), and the Zeekr X urban SUV.
All three vehicles are aimed at niche markets, and the Zeekr 007 will be Zeekr’s first model for the mainstream market.
Zeekr delivered a record 13,077 vehicles in October, up 29.2 percent year-on-year and up 8.5 percent from September.
The company is aiming to double its deliveries this year from last year to about 140,000 vehicles, which means it will need to deliver an average of about 24,000 vehicles per month in November and December to reach its goal.
Zeekr is aiming for annual sales of 650,000 vehicles by 2025.
Zeekr formally filed for a New York listing overnight, and is set to become the fourth new Chinese carmaker to list in the US after Nio (NYSE: NIO), Xpeng (NYSE: XPEV) and Li Auto (NASDAQ: LI).
