From August 1 to August 27, retail sales of passenger new energy vehicles (NEVs) in China stood at 538,000 units, up 28 percent year-on-year and up 2 percent from the same period last month, according to data released today by the China Passenger Car Association (CPCA).
So far this year, retail sales of passenger NEVs in China were 4.265 million units, up 35 percent year-on-year.
From August 1 to August 27, China’s wholesale sales of passenger NEVs were 615,000 units, up 23 percent year-on-year and up 3 percent from the same period last month, according to the CPCA.
So far this year, China’s passenger NEV wholesale sales stood at 4.895 million units, up 39 percent year-on-year.
From August 1 to 27, China’s retail sales of all passenger vehicles were 1.356 million units, up 6 percent year-on-year and up 3 percent from the same period last month.
For the year-to-date period, retail sales of passenger cars in China have been up 2 percent year-on-year to 12.653 million units.
This means that in the first four weeks of August, retail penetration of NEVs in China was 39.67 percent, and the figure was 33.70 percent so far this year.
Between August 1 and 27, wholesale sales of all passenger cars in China were 1,433,000 units, up 3 percent year-on-year but down 3 percent from the same period last month. Year-to-date wholesale sales were up 6 percent to 14.564 million units.
Between August 1 and August 6, average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 40,150 units, down 1 percent from a year earlier but up 9 percent from the same period last month, according to the CPCA.
From August 7 to August 13, average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 49,051 units, up 13 percent from a year ago and up 16 percent from the same period last month, according to the CPCA.
From August 13 to August 20, average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 51,869 units, an increase of 3 percent over the same period last year and an increase of 3 percent over the same period last month.
From August 21 to August 27, average daily retail sales of passenger cars in China were 58,396 units, an increase of 7 percent over the same period last year and a decrease of 8 percent from the same period last month.
