The Z9GT, Denza’s luxury flagship sedan model, made its debut at the Beijing auto show at the end of April, and its official launch is set to be at the end of this year.
Denza, the premium brand of BYD (HKG: 1211, OTCMKTS: BYDDY), has unveiled interior details of the Z9GT, a new model that is expected to go on sale at the end of the year.
The Denza Z9GT has three screens in the front, including a horizontal center screen, as well as an instrument screen and a screen for the front passenger, according to a video Denza released today.
It has an on-board refrigerator in both the front and rear, a feature increasingly valued by car companies in the competitive Chinese electric vehicle (EV) market.
The video posted by Denza also shows the Z9GT’s seats as well as audio details, and they will probably be among the model’s key selling points.
“D-class smart luxury flagship GT, redefining the standard of luxury,” Zhao Changjiang, general manager of Denza’s sales division, said on Weibo today.
The Z9GT is Denza’s luxury flagship sedan model, which made its debut at the Beijing auto show at the end of April. Denza previously said the model’s official launch would be at the end of the year.
Denza’s latest share comes as the Z9GT’s interior details were recently leaked, with these leaked images being called low quality by Zhao.
The Z9GT measures 5,180 mm in length, 1,990 mm in width and 1,500/1,480 mm in height and has a wheelbase of 3,125 mm, according to a regulatory filing in April.
The car will be based on BYD’s e3 technology, and the powertrain will include three electric motors with peak power of 230 kW, 240 kW and 240 kW, Denza previously said.
With up to nearly 1,000 horsepower, the model will accelerate from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in less than three seconds.
BYD unveiled its e⁴ technology when it released its ultra-luxury Yangwang brand on January 5, 2023, a powertrain with more than 1,000 horsepower centered around a quad-motor independent drive.
The Z9GT, powered by e3 technology, can complete a moose test at speeds of up to 85 kilometers per hour, Denza said.
