When my high-end electric bike was stolen last year, the intense combination of feelings ranging from violation to anger was hard to describe. But that is nothing compared to what one innovative electric bike maker is going through after $1M worth of unreleased new e-bikes was stolen in one fell swoop. Biktrix, the Canadian e-bike maker behind several impressively designed, high-power models, shared the devastating news that a container of new Juggernaut FS ST e-bikes was stolen from the company’s Delta, BC warehouse. There were also several prototype models Biktrix is developing for release next year in the container. It’s…

Love it or loathe it, it’s impossible not to admit that the Cybertruck is an expensive beast that the most trendsetting individuals will go to great lengths to get. Celebrities like Kim Kardashian and Lady Gaga have been seen in them. One football superstar was famously advised not to spend double the MSRP on a used one. I recently wrote a review of my Tesla Model 3 reaching 100,000 miles, with detailed TCO (Total Cost of Ownership), and I stick by the conclusion that this car is amazing. However, what I thought was a good old worn out 12-volt battery issue (resulting in my car having to be towed to the service center and stay there for several days) was…

One of the most interesting we got recently was a request to review a book called Everything Tesla, written by kids for kids of all ages, as the tagline says. After reading through several sections, I get the sense that the idea is to educate people about the world, climate change, technology, and EVs in general,…

Li mentioned this in a March 16 interview with Cheng Li, founder of local automotive media outlet Cheyun, on the sidelines of the China EV 100 Forum in Beijing, according to a video of the interview released yesterday.…

The fear of affordable Chinese EVs entering the U.S. through Mexico has rattled American carmakers. But it seems like they are finally responding with some countermeasures to the potential onslaught of Chinese EVs. Remember Ford’s announcement from last month about an internal “skunkworks” team developing a low-cost electric vehicle platform? Some new details have surfaced about this project. Bloomberg reported today, citing an anonymous source, that the new low-cost EV platform will spawn at least three new electric cars: a compact SUV, a small truck, and an EV designed for ride-hail services. I step on the brake with my left foot, press the accelerator to the mat with my right—then, slip off on the left. Motors whirl to life as they whorl out warp-speed forward thrust. Traffic cones fly by in the side windows like mailboxes on a country road until I let off the pedal and let “B” mode’s regenerative braking lasso this electric SUV down for a gradual right turn back into its parking spot.  Even the briefest exposure to Audi’s new electric SUV, the 2025 Q6 E-Tron, it’s easy to see the promise in the first fully conceived, best-executed…
