In a hearing on Tuesday, a Delaware Bankruptcy Court judge granted Fisker’s motion to sell off its remaining inventory of Ocean SUVs in a bulk deal worth up to $46.25 million. Earlier this month, the troubled electric vehicle startup said in a filing that it had found a buyer for the roughly 3,200 unsold Oceans that are configured for the North American market. The buyer, American Lease, leases out EVs to drivers for ride-hailing services in New York. An American EV startup goes bankrupt Fisker Inc. is the second automotive startup from renowned car designer Henrik Fisker. The company was…

This morning, I had to double-check whether the InsideEVs CMS was working properly. That’s because when I went to edit a story about the new electric 2025 Ford Capri, I was convinced that I was looking at a Polestar 2 instead. Evidently, our CMS is working just fine today; nothing was wrong with the images we were trying to publish. And the Capri actually looks very good! I’m especially a fan of that very striking orange color that Ford chose for so many of the initial publicity photos. It’s just that, yes, the damn thing does look like a Polestar…

Sign up for daily news updates from CleanTechnica on email. Or follow us on Google News! Climate insecurity is rising, and that includes larger, more frequent hurricanes. The latest sign of that is Hurricane Beryl, a Category 5 hurricane. In fact, as the title notes, this is the earliest Category 5 hurricane from the Atlantic ever recorded. And that’s not the only record Hurricane Beryl is breaking. The link between global heating (aka global warming, but that sounds too pleasant) and stronger hurricanes comes from the fact that warmer water in the ocean leads to bigger storms. We’ve been experiencing…
The Polestar 4’s driving impression embargo is officially up, and generally, most are digging into what the rear windowless four-door crossover is offering. It’s chic, sharp to drive, and relatively reasonably priced. Of course, the lack of a rear window isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (it certainly wasn’t mine). Still, the Polestar’s strong execution shows off that its Geely SEA-based roots are a strong base for future development of any future Geely, Zeekr, Polestar, Volvo, Lotus, or any manufacturer or brand that uses the platform. Still, while driving Polestar 4 in Spain, I couldn’t help but wonder: was this truly…
