Zeekr‘s deliveries in January fell from the previous month, but fared better than its main peers.
Zeekr, Geely Holding Group’s premium electric vehicle (EV) subsidiary, delivered 12,537 vehicles in January, down 7 percent from December, but performed better than its major peers, although seasonal factors weighed in.
Zeekr delivered 12,537 vehicles in January, up 302.34 percent from a year earlier, but down 6.97 percent from December, according to data it released today.
Zeekr’s goal for 2024 is to deliver 230,000 vehicles, double from 2023, a company spokesperson previously told CnEVPost.
At the end of January, Zeekr had delivered 209,170 vehicles since its inception, data monitored by CnEVPost showed.
For the full year of 2023, Zeekr delivered 118,685 vehicles, up 64.98 percent year-on-year.
Zeekr was officially established as an independent company in March 2021, with its first model, the Zeekr 001, launched on April 15, 2021, and deliveries beginning in October 2021.
On January 15, China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) released the latest catalog of models that will be allowed to be sold for public comment, and the new Zeekr 001 was included.
Zeekr has not yet announced when the facelifted Zeekr 001 will be available.
Zeekr’s current models on sale also include the Zeekr 009 MPV, the compact SUV Zeekr X, and the Zeekr 007 sedan.
The Zeekr 007, which went on sale on December 27 and began deliveries on January 1, is Zeekr’s first to target the mainstream EV market.
Zeekr launched the Zeekr X on April 12, 2023, and on January 10 launched the 2024 model of the SUV.
On January 15, Zeekr launched the 2024 Zeekr 009 with a small increase in starting price and better features. The MPV, which was initially launched on November 1, 2022, is Zeekr’s second model after the Zeekr 001, with deliveries commencing in February 2023.
